The South West of England Regional Development Agency was created in April 1999 to further the economic development and regeneration of the region; to promote business efficiency, investment and competitiveness; to promote employment; to develop the skills relevant to employment; and to contribute to sustainable development.
The South West Regional Assembly is a voluntary grouping of councillors from local authorities in the region and representatives of various sectors with a role in the region's economic, social and environmental well being.
GOSW is an outpost of central government. From our offices in Bristol, Plymouth and Truro we represent the work and interests of several Government departments.
