Plant and machinery includes whatever apparatus is used by a business but not his stock-in-trade which he buys or makes for sale.

Regional Infrastructure

Regional infrastructures refer to the underlying network of transportation and ICT services provided by the public sector.

Industry Structure and Supply Chain

The industrial structure of a region is an important factor in to the extent to which a region will enter into international production. Manufacturing businesses, for example, have highly international supply chains. Foreign direct investors also use local supply chains which can be the catalyst for such investments.
